Meaning Atlas (the “Service”, at meaningatlas.org) is operated by The Challenge Sp. z o.o. (“we”, “us”), a company registered in Poland.
We are the data controller for the personal data described here, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Polish data-protection law. The Service is intended for adults aged 18 or older, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Please be careful with sensitive information. Some optional answers or free-text may reveal sensitive information such as beliefs, health, relationships, or other personal circumstances. Please do not include information you do not want to share. Where you voluntarily provide such information, we process it only to provide the Service and, where applicable, for aggregated research in line with this Policy.
To produce your written reflection/report, your assessment answers and any optional context may be sent to Anthropic (our AI provider) solely to generate that text. As noted in our Terms, AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate and is intended as a reflection prompt, not definitive advice.
Our core Service and our analytics (section 6) do not use cookies. If we later add marketing trackers (for example, a Meta Pixel) to measure advertising, we will show a cookie/consent banner to visitors in the EU/EEA/UK and such trackers will not load before you give valid consent. You will be able to accept or decline, and to change your choice.
We use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics tool that stores aggregated/anonymised usage data and does not use cookies or track visitors across websites. We do not intentionally send assessment answers, email addresses, payment identifiers, or private result tokens to analytics.
We use a small number of trusted providers (“processors”), each only to the extent needed to run the Service — and any other provider listed here when introduced:
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, safeguards may include the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable. We do not imply that every provider is certified under any particular framework, and we do not sell your personal data.
We keep your saved result and email for as long as needed to provide the Service and, where you consented, to send you findings — and no longer than 24 months after your last activity, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. You can request deletion at any time.
Aggregated/anonymised research statistics that no longer identify a person may be kept indefinitely. Accounting, tax, and payment records may be kept for the period required by law.
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data; correct it; have it erased; restrict processing; data portability; object to processing based on our legitimate interests; and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). To exercise any of these, email hello@meaningatlas.org — we will respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, uodo.gov.pl.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Your saved result is reachable only through an unguessable private link. Anyone with that link may be able to view your result, so do not share it publicly. You can ask us to delete or reset it at any time.
We may update this policy; material changes will be noted here with a new date.
